China Open: Bu through to second round

Wildcard Yunchaokete Bu advanced to the second round of the China Open by edging out Juncheng Shang, the 2024 Chengdu Open champion, 6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-4 at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing on Friday.

Bu, ranked No 96, will face the winner of the match between Belgian qualifier Zizou Bergs and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 6 seed, next.
