Romanian Anca Todoni, the No 5 seed, reached the last 16 of the Tiriac Foundation Trophy by defeating Slovenian Dalila Jakupovic 7-5, 6-3 on Tuesday.
Todoni, ranked No 132, will face Dutchwoman Anouk Koevermans next.
