Japanese Mai Hontama beat Indonesian wildcard Priska Nugroho 6-2, 6-1 to reach the second round of the Jasmin Open at the Skanes Family Hotel Monastir on Monday evening.
Hontama, ranked No 109, will face the winner of the match between qualifier Sonay Kartal and Romanian Jaqueline Cristian, the No 5 seed, next.
