US Open: Griekspoor books spot in third round as Baez retires injured
Tallon Griekspoor benefited from the abandonment of Sebastian Baez (6-1, 2-0) and will face Grigor Dimitrov, the No 9 seed, in the next round

Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor reached the third round of the US Open when Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 21 seed, retired at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Griekspoor, ranked No 40, led 6-1, 2-0 when Baez, ranked No 23, pulled out on Wednesday evening at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.
The Dutchman will face Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 9 seed, next.
Tallon Griekspoor defeated Indian Sumit Nagal (6-1, 6-3, 7-6 (6)) in the previous round of the US Open.
During the first round of the US Open, the Argentinian edged out Italian Luciano Darderi (6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-0, 7-6 (4)).
