US Open: Michelsen books spot in second round with solid victory

Alex Michelsen won against qualifier Eliot Spizzirri 6-1, 7-5, 6-3 to move into the second round of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York on Tuesday.

Michelsen, ranked No 49, will play the winner of the match between Italian Jannik Sinner, the top seed, and American Mackenzie McDonald next.
