Erika Andreeva won against American Danielle Collins, the top seed, 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 to move into the last 8 of the Monterrey Open at Sonoma Club on Wednesday night.
Andreeva, ranked No 89, will play the winner of the match between New Zealander Lulu Sun and Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle next.
In the previous round of the Monterrey tournament, the 20-year-old Russian beat Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina (6-1, 6-4).
