Winston-Salem Open: Coric books spot in last 16, upsets top seed Baez

Croat Borna Coric reached the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open by winning against Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the top seed, 6-3, 6-4 at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday evening.

Coric, ranked No 87, will face Australian Rinky Hijikata, the No 16 seed, next.

In the previous round of the Winston-Salem tournament, the Croat defeated Indian Sumit Nagal (6-4, 6-2).
