Cleveland Open: Kessler reaches second round

Wildcard McCartney Kessler edged out wildcard Katrina Scott 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Cleveland Open at Jacobs Pavilion on Monday.

Kessler, ranked No 100, will play Chinese Xinyu Wang, the No 4 seed, next.
