Katie Boulter advanced to the second round of the WTA National Bank Open by beating American qualifier Bernarda Pera 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 at the Aviva Centre on Wednesday night.
Boulter, ranked No 33, will play Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia, the No 13 seed, next.
