Montreal Masters: Shelton defeats doubles partner Bublik to move into second round

American Ben Shelton, the No 11 seed at the Montreal Masters, moved into the second round by beating his doubles partner for the week Alexander Bublik (7-6 (4), 6-2). It was a match mostly dominated by the serve, with 16 aces being launched down in total, however, Shelton broke twice in a more one-sided second set. 

The big serving Shelton will face Australian Alexei Popyrin or Tomas Machac on Thursday.
