Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 4 seed, advanced to the last eight of the Hamburg European Open by winning against Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl 7-6 (5), 6-3 on Tuesday afternoon.
Bondar, ranked No 94, will face the winner of the match between Ella Seidel and No 7 seed Eva Lys next.
Ahead of her victory, the Hungarian defeated German qualifier Anna Petkovic (6-1, 6-3).
Baindl, ranked No 310, won against German wildcard Carolina Kuhl (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round.
