Russian Polina Kudermetova advanced to the last 16 of the Hamburg European Open by winning against German wildcard Johanna Silva 6-2, 6-3 on Monday.
Kudermetova, ranked No 173, will face Croat Jana Fett, the No 8 seed, next.
