Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan reached the second round of the Citi Open by winning against American qualifier Maxime Cressy 6-4, 6-3 at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Washington on Monday evening.
Galan, ranked No 124, will play No 5 seed Frances Tiafoe next.
