Polish Open: Kung books spot in semi-finals

Swiss Leonie Kung advanced to the last 4 of the Polish Open by defeating Israeli qualifier Lina Glushko 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 on Thursday.
Kung, ranked No 287, will face American qualifier Alycia Parks next.
The Swiss won against Pole wildcard Weronika Ewald (6-4, 2-6, 6-2) and Japanese Mai Hontama, the second seed (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds, Glushko, ranked No 311, beat Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl, the No 6 seed (6-2, 7-5) and Frenchwoman Carole Monnet (6-3, 6-4).
