French qualifier Selena Janicijevic beat Romanian wildcard Miriam Bulgaru 6-2, 7-6 (6) to move into the quarter-finals of the Iasi Open at the Ciric Sports Base on Tuesday night.
Janicijevic, ranked No 188, will face Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet next.
The 22-year-old Frenchman won against Bulgarian qualifier Gergana Topalova (6-1, 6-2) in the previous round of the Iasi tournament.
In the previous round of the Iasi tournament, Bulgaru, ranked No 203, won against German Tatjana Maria, the second seed (6-4, 6-2).
