Palermo Open: Sharma outlasts Tomljanovic to reach quarter-finals

Astra Sharma defeated wildcard Ajla Tomljanovic 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the Palermo Open at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Wednesday night.
Sharma, ranked No 151, will face second seed Karolina Muchova next.
Astra Sharma won against Russian Anna Blinkova, the No 6 seed (6-0, 7-5) in the previous round of the Palermo tournament.
In the previous round of the Palermo tournament, Tomljanovic, ranked No 133, won against Egyptian Mayar Sherif (3-6, 7-5, 6-3).
