Hamburg Open: Sixth seed Arnaldi knocked out in first round
Pedro Martinez won against Matteo Arnaldi 7-6 (4), 6-1 on Monday evening and will play French qualifier Ugo Blanchet in the next round

Spaniard Pedro Martinez reached the second round of the Hamburg Open by beating Italian Matteo Arnaldi, the No 6 seed, 7-6 (4), 6-1 at the Rothenbaum Tennis Center on Monday evening.
Martinez, ranked No 49, will face French qualifier Ugo Blanchet next.
