Swiss wildcard Leandro Riedi moved into the second round of the Swiss Open by defeating Frenchman Gregoire Barrere 7-6 (2), 7-5 at the Roy Emerson Arena in Gstaad on Monday night.

Riedi, ranked No 134, will face German Jan-Lennard Struff, the No 5 seed, next.
