American Louisa Chirico defeated Mexican Renata Zarazua, the No 8 seed, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 to reach the last 16 of the Nordea Open on Monday afternoon.
Chirico, ranked No 216, will play the winner of the match between Romanian Irina Bara and Thai Mananchaya Sawangkaew next.
