WTA rankings: Quiet week as Boulter, Samsonova win titles

There has been little movement in the WTA rankings this week, as most big names in the sport take the week off following Roland-Garros.

The top 15 in the women’s rankings all remain constant, with none competing this week.

WTA Tour top 10, as of 17 June, 2024:

1. Iga Swiatek: 11,695 points
2. Coco Gauff: 7,988 points
3. Aryna Sabalenka: 7,788 points
4. Elena Rybakina: 5,973 points
5. Jessica Pegula: 4,625 points
6. Marketa Vondrousova: 4,503 points
7. Jasmine Paolini: 4,068 points
8. Qinwen Zheng: 4,005 points
9. Maria Sakkari: 3,980 points
10. Ons Jabeur: 3,748 points

The biggest movements in the WTA rankings were seen outside of the top 40.

Karolina Pliskova, who made the final of the Rothesay Open in Nottingham, jumps eight places to No 42 in the world. Diane Parry also climbs the rankings, up 11 spots to No 53–just short of her career-high No 49 achieved earlier this season.

Mayar Sherif takes the biggest hit this week, falling 16 spots to No 79 in the world. The Egyptian dropped points, having won the BBVA Open in Valencia this time last year.

Britain’s Harriet Dart also falls, slipping nine places and leaving the top 100 ahead of Wimbledon. She’s now ranked No 101 in the world.
