ATP rankings: Draper top Brit, De Minaur career-high
After a title run in Stuttgart, Jack Draper is now the highest-ranked Brit. This and more in today’s ranking report…
Jack Draper claimed his maiden ATP title on Sunday, and jumped to No 30 in the rankings to become the top-ranked Brit for the first time. The 22-year-old wasn’t the only player making a big splash in this week’s rankings.

De Minaur (+2) to No 7, a career high
Australia’s Alex de Minaur’s best season as a professional continues at full throttle. The 25-year-old, who made his top 10 debut on January 8, pushed through to his second title of 2024 – and ninth overall – on Sunday in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, which brings him a career-high ranking of No 7.
“It achieves a new career-high for me, so that’s always a great little bonus,” said De Minaur in his on-court interview. “My first week on grass couldn’t have gone any better, so I’m looking forward to next week at Queen’s and the whole grass-court season with a smile on my face. I’m glad I was able to get a win here in Holland.”
De Minaur improves to 33-11 overall on the season with his win.
Draper (+10) moves up again
22-year-old Jack Draper has been on the move for much of 2024. The Brit reached his second career ATP final in Adelaide in January, and on Sunday he notched his maiden ATP title, defeating Matteo Berrettini to become the first British champion in Stuttgart history.
For his efforts, Draper rises from No 40 to No 30 in the rankings. He’s up from outside the top 60 at the start of the season and takes over as No 1 British man in this week’s ATP rankings.
Draper is the youngest Brit to achieve that feat since Andy Murray in 2009.
Berrettini rises (+30)
Another solid week for former Wimbledon finalist Matteo Berrettini takes the former world No 6 up 30 spots to 65 in the ATP rankings. Not good enough for a seed this year at SW19, but a step in the right direction for the 28-year-old.
Berrettini reached the final in Stuttgart, before falling to Draper in three sets.
Darderi and Nagal hit career highs after Challenger success
Italy’s Luciano Darderi won the Perugia title on the red clay today, which pushes him to a career-high ranking of 34 (from 41).
India’s Sumit Nagal, who fell to Darderi in the Perugia final, jumps up from 77 to a career-high of 71.
