BBVA Open Internacional De Valencia: Tomova makes final

Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the top seed, reached the final of the BBVA Open Internacional De Valencia by edging out Belarusian Iryna Shymanovich 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Saturday.
Tomova, ranked No 69, will face the winner of the match between American Ann Li and Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, the second seed, next.
The Bulgarian defeated Croat Lea Boskovic (6-0, 4-6, 6-2), Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva (7-5, 2-6, 6-1) and Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 8 seed (6-3, 6-1) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Shymanovich, ranked No 275, won against lucky loser Dominika Salkova (6-4, 6-4), Mexican Renata Zarazua, the No 5 seed (6-4, 6-2) and Brazilian Laura Pigossi (6-0, 7-6 (1)).
