Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the top seed, beat Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 to move into the last eight of the BBVA Open Internacional De Valencia.
Tomova, ranked No 69, will play Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 8 seed, next.
The Bulgarian defeated Croat Lea Boskovic (6-0, 4-6, 6-2) in the previous round.
In the 32, Selekhmeteva, ranked No 448, beat Romanian Miriam Bulgaru (6-2, 6-2).
