BBVA Open Internacional De Valencia: Semenistaja beats Begu to books spot in last eight
Darja Semenistaja beat Irina-Camelia Begu 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and will play Viktoriya Tomova or Oksana Selekhmeteva in the next round

Latvian Darja Semenistaja, the No 8 seed, edged out Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the BBVA Open Internacional De Valencia on Thursday.
Semenistaja, ranked No 116, will play the winner of the match between Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova, the top seed, and Russian Oksana Selekhmeteva next.
The 21-year-old Latvian edged out Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz (7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round, Begu, ranked No 131, defeated Slovenian Tamara Zidansek (6-1, 6-1).
