No 6 seed Karolina Pliskova reached the last 16 of the Nottingham Open by beating American Alycia Parks 6-4, 6-4 at Nottingham Tennis Centre on Monday evening.
Pliskova, ranked No 50, will play wildcard Heather Watson next.
