Martina Trevisan edged out Ann Li 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 on Thursday evening and will face Slovenian Tamara Zidansek, the No 9 seed, in the next round

Italian Martina Trevisan, the No 5 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Open delle Puglie by edging out American Ann Li 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 on Thursday evening.
Trevisan, ranked No 92, will face Slovenian Tamara Zidansek, the No 9 seed, next.
The Italian won against Lithuanian Justina Mikulskyte (6-3, 7-6 (8)) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Li, ranked No 176, beat Bulgarian lucky loser Isabella Shinikova (6-1, 6-4).
