Roland-Garros: Fritz moves into third round

American Taylor Fritz, the No 12 seed, reached the third round of Roland-Garros by edging out Serb Dusan Lajovic 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 at Roland-Garros in Paris on Thursday evening.

Fritz, ranked No 12, will play the winner of the match between Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis and Italian qualifier Giulio Zeppieri next.

The American defeated Argentinian Federico Coria (2-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-1) in the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2024.

In the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2024, Lajovic, ranked No 61, won against Russian Roman Safiullin (4-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-4).
