Roland-Garros: Tauson stuns Ostapenko to reach third round

Dane Clara Tauson advanced to the third round of Roland-Garros by defeating Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 9 seed, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-3 in Paris.

Tauson, ranked No 72, will face American Sofia Kenin next.

The 21-year-old Dane won against German Tatjana Maria (6-2, 6-3) ahead of her victory.

In the previous round, Ostapenko, ranked No 11, won against Romanian Jaqueline Cristian (6-4, 7-5).
