Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 28 seed, reached the second round of Roland-Garros by edging out Frenchman Arthur Cazaux 3-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 at Roland-Garros in Paris.
Etcheverry, ranked No 29, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech and Australian wildcard Adam Walton next.
