Rinderknech takes down Tiafoe, into Lyon quarter-finals
Arthur Rinderknech defeated Frances Tiafoe in straight sets on Wednesday in Lyon. Rinderknech will play Italian Luciano Darderi in the next round.

Arthur Rinderknech reached the last eight of the Lyon Open by beating American Frances Tiafoe, the No 5 seed, 7-6 (7), 6-4 at Parc de la Tête d’or on Wednesday afternoon.
Rinderknech, ranked No 73, will play Italian Luciano Darderi on quarter-final Thursday. Ahead of his victory, the Frenchman edged out Daniel Evans (6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (6)).
Tiafoe, ranked No 26, previously got past Spaniard Jaume Munar (7-6 (5), 6-4).
