Machac powers his way into Geneva quarter-finals

Tomas Machac won against American qualifier Nicolas Moreno De Alboran 4-6, 7-5, 6-0 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Geneva Open at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Wednesday.
Machac, ranked No 44, will play the winner of the match between No 3 seed Taylor Fritz and Alex Michelsen next.
Tomas Machac defeated No 8 seed Jack Draper (7-6 (6), 6-1) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Geneva tournament, Moreno De Alboran, ranked No 140, beat Belgian qualifier David Goffin (6-2, 6-1).
