Luciano Darderi won against Adrian Mannarino 7-6 (4), 6-3 on Wednesday and will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech and American Frances Tiafoe, the No 5 seed, in the next round
Italian Luciano Darderi moved into the quarter-finals of the Lyon Open by beating Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the No 3 seed, 7-6 (4), 6-3 at Parc de la Tête d’or on Wednesday.
Darderi, ranked No 47, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech and American Frances Tiafoe, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Lyon tournament, the 22-year-old Italian won against Japanese qualifier Taro Daniel (7-5, 7-6 (3)).
