Geneva Open: Cobolli upsets Shelton to reach last eight

Italian Flavio Cobolli reached the last eight of the Geneva Open by winning against American Ben Shelton, the No 4 seed, 4-6, 7-6 (1), 6-2 at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Tuesday evening.
Cobolli, ranked No 56, will face Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko next.
The 22-year-old Italian beat Russian Aslan Karatsev (7-5, 6-1) in the previous round of the Geneva tournament.
