German Yannick Hanfmann beat wildcard Andy Murray 7-5, 6-2 to advance to the second round of the Geneva Open at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Tuesday.

Hanfmann, ranked No 85, will face top seed Novak Djokovic next.
