Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 5 seed, won against Indian Sumit Nagal 7-6 (7), 6-3 to reach the second round of the Geneva Open at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Sunday.
Baez, ranked No 19, will face the winner of the match between German Daniel Altmaier and Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena next.
