Italian Open: Garcia knocked out in third round
Danielle Collins won against Caroline Garcia 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday evening and will face Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu in the next round

American Danielle Collins, the No 13 seed, won against Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the No 22 seed, 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the last 16 of the Italian Open at the Foro Italico in Roma on Sunday evening.
Collins, ranked No 15, will play Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu next.
The American benefited from the abandonment of Russian Anna Blinkova (6-4, 0-0) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Rome tournament, Garcia, ranked No 23, beat Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto (6-2, 7-6 (5)).
