Munich Open: Defending champion Rune races into last 8
Holger Rune beat Daniel Elahi Galan 6-4, 6-2 on Thursday afternoon and will face the winner of the match between German Yannick Hanfmann and Swiss qualifier Marc-Andrea Huesler in the next round

Dane Holger Rune, the second seed, won against Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan 6-4, 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Munich Open at the MTTC Iphitos complex on Thursday.
Rune, ranked No 12, will play the winner of the match between German Yannick Hanfmann and Swiss qualifier Marc-Andrea Huesler next.
In the previous round of the Munich tournament, Galan, ranked No 93, beat Argentinian Camilo Ugo Carabelli (7-6 (2), 6-4).
