Oeiras Ladies Open: Pera through to last 16 as Sharma retires

American Bernarda Pera, the top seed, reached the last 16 of the Oeiras Ladies Open when Australian Astra Sharma retired on Monday.
Pera, ranked No 82, led 1-2 when Sharma, ranked No 127, pulled out on Monday afternoon.
The American will play the winner of the match between Dutch qualifier Anouk Koevermans and Croat qualifier Tena Lukas next.
