Jannik Sinner won against Daniil Medvedev 6-1, 6-2 on Friday evening and will play the winner of the match between Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 11 seed, and German Alexander Zverev, the No 4 seed, for the title
Italian Jannik Sinner, the second seed, defeated Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 3 seed, 6-1, 6-2 to move into the final of the Miami Masters at the Hard Rock Stadium on Friday evening.
Sinner, ranked No 3, will face the winner of the match between Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 11 seed, and German Alexander Zverev, the No 4 seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the 22-year-old Italian won against qualifier Andrea Vavassori (6-3, 6-4), Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 25 seed (5-7, 7-5, 6-1), Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-4, 6-3) and Tomas Machac (6-4, 6-2).
Medvedev, ranked No 4, won against Hungarian Marton Fucsovics (6-4, 6-2), No 30 seed Cameron Norrie (7-5, 6-1), German Dominik Koepfer (7-6 (5), 6-0) and Chilean Nicolas Jarry, the No 22 seed (6-2, 7-6 (7)) in the previous rounds of the Miami Open.
