Charleston Open 125: Sasnovich beats Day to make second round

Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich edged out American Kayla Day 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 to advance to the second round of the Charleston Open 125 at the Family Circle Tennis Center.
Sasnovich, ranked No 97, will face the winner of the match between German Tamara Korpatsch, the No 8 seed, and Belgian Greet Minnen next.
