Briton Boulter surges into top 30 after San Diego win – WTA rankings update
The Briton won the biggest title of her career to hit a new rankings high
Katie Boulter’s reward for the biggest title of her career is a place in the world’s top 30 for the first time.
The Briton beat Marta Kostyuk in three sets to win the San Diego title on Sunday, a win that pushes her up a whopping 22 places in the rankings to the heady heights of No 27.
The top 20 remain unchanged as the Tour heads to Indian Wells, with Iga Swiatek holding a commanding lead at the top.
Yue Yuan’s first career title in Austin ensured she climbed to a new career-high ranking of 49, up 19 places.
