Chile Open: Cerundolo through to second round, beats fifth seed Hanfmann
Juan Manuel Cerundolo edged out Yannick Hanfmann 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 on Tuesday evening. He’ll face the winner of the match between Argentinian lucky loser Facundo Bagnis and Italian wildcard Luciano Darderi in the next round
Argentinian qualifier Juan Manuel Cerundolo reached the second round of the Chile Open by edging out German Yannick Hanfmann, the No 5 seed, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 at Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago de Chile on Tuesday evening.
Cerundolo, ranked No 161, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian lucky loser Facundo Bagnis and Italian wildcard Luciano Darderi next.
