Chinese Yafan Wang won against Italian Lucia Bronzetti, the No 4 seed, 7-6 (5), 6-4 to reach the second round of the Austin Open at the Westwood Country Club on Monday evening.
Wang, ranked No 69, will face the winner of the match between Colombian Emiliana Arango and American Alycia Parks next.
