Rio Open: Cerundolo moves into last eight

Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, won against Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-2, 6-1 to move into the last eight of the Rio Open at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday evening.
Cerundolo, ranked No 22, will play the winner of the match between Dusan Lajovic and No 6 seed Laslo Djere next.
The Argentinian beat qualifier Francisco Comesana (6-1, 1-6, 6-2) in the previous round of the Rio tournament.
In the previous round of the Rio tournament, Ramos-Vinolas, ranked No 96, edged out Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas (3-6, 6-3, 7-5).
