Sunday was supposed to be a banner day for American men’s tennis at the Delray Beach Open, with top-seed and defending champion Taylor Fritz taking on Tommy Paul for the title.
Fritz is bidding to complete the first successful Delray Beach title defence since 1997, while Paul, last week’s Dallas Open champion, is bidding to become the first American to win ATP titles in successive weeks since 2017.
They’ll have to wait until Monday to decide a champion, as the tournament announced that the final had been postponed due to rain in the area.
The men’s singles final will take place at 1230 local time on Monday afternoon.
