Karolina Pliskova reached the last 4 of the Cluj-Napoca Open by beating Italian Sara Errani 6-2, 6-0 at the BTarena on Friday evening.
Pliskova, ranked No 78, will play qualifier Harriet Dart next.
Karolina Pliskova won against Austrian qualifier Sinja Kraus (6-4, 7-6 (6)) and Colombian Camila Osorio (6-2, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Errani, ranked No 98, defeated American Catherine McNally (6-2, 6-4) and German Tatjana Maria, the second seed (6-0, 6-1).
