Sara Bejlek defeated Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 5 seed, 6-2, 6-1 to win the Colina Open title at the Club Deportivo Universidad Catolica on Sunday night.
Earlier in the tournament, Bejlek, ranked No 194, beat Hungarian Anna Bondar, the No 6 seed (5-7, 6-2, 6-3), Georgian qualifier Ekaterine Gorgodze (6-1, 6-2), Hungarian Panna Udvardy (4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4) and Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the No 3 seed (6-0, 4-6, 6-2).
Parry, ranked No 104, defeated Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle (1-6, 6-3, 7-5), Fiona Ferro (6-4, 6-1), Slovenian Polona Hercog (6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-1) and American Elizabeth Mandlik, the No 7 seed (7-6 (3), 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Chilean tournament.
