Colina Open: Podoroska beats Sequel to move into quarter-finals

Argentinian Nadia Podoroska, the No 3 seed, won against Chilean wildcard Daniela Seguel 6-1, 6-4 to reach the last 8 of the Colina Open at the Club Deportivo Universidad Catolica.

Podoroska, ranked No 78, will play Frenchwoman Leolia Jeanjean, the No 8 seed, next.

The Argentinian edged out Swiss qualifier Conny Perrin (7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-5) ahead of her victory.

In the previous round of the Chilean tournament, Daniela Seguel defeated Ipek Oz (7-5, 7-6 (3)).
