Croat wildcard Borna Gojo advanced to the second round of the Vienna Open by defeating Russian Aslan Karatsev 6-3, 6-3 at the Wiener Stadthalle on Wednesday.
Gojo, ranked No 77, will face American Tommy Paul, the No 6 seed, next.
