Barbora Krejcikova extended her 100 per cent record over Magda Linette with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the Azalea group at the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai.
Krejcikova is the top seed in the event, and has now won eight of her last ten matches.
She has also extended her record against Top 50-ranked players this year to 19-13, and her career record against players from Poland to 5-2.
This was Linette’s first-ever match at the WTA Elite Trophy, and is the first Polish player to compete in the singles at the tournament.
